Dr Frenchie Bio

Dr Glen Kolenc has over 25 years of experience as a veterinarian in both Australia and the UK. Not long after taking over his own clinic here in Petersham, Glen discovered he could combine his love of French Bulldogs, and his love of surgery, and ‘Dr Frenchie’ was born.

He is now well regarded and highly skilled in all aspects of airway surgery on brachycephalic breeds, performing these regularly here at Pevets. Our clients and patients travel from far and wide to have an airway consult and assessment with Dr Glen. If surgery is indicated, he goes through all aspects of the surgery, recovery, costs involved and expected benefits and risks. His post surgical discharge appointments are very detailed, and our clients don’t leave until they feel fully confident and supported.

Dr Glen attends regular seminars and courses to increase his knowledgeand surgical skills on BOAS surgery, to provide the best possible outcome for his patients.

Glen has a wealth of experience about all bulldog related issues. From chronic skin problems, to pain management to eye disorders he can help you get those problems sorted. Glen also has experience with reproduction, and loves performing Caesarean sections. Whatever problem your bulldog has, you can rest assured they will be in good hands with Dr Frenchie.
